Music Director

I grew up in the Monroeton/Midway community, across from Midway United Methodist Church on Hwy 158. I attended Midway UMC from as far back as I can remember until I left for Appalachian State University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Education, K-6 with a concentration in music. I returned to the area and taught for five years in Stokes County. I returned to Midway UMC during that time and was the music director until I moved to Germany and then, South Dakota. While in Germany, I received my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I returned to Rockingham County in summer, 2012, and began teaching at Bethany Elementary School. I married my husband, Jimmy, in June, 2013. We soon found out we were expecting a baby girl in February, 2014. However, due to complications, Ellie joined us on December 26, 2013 (almost 10 weeks early). Then, Eli came along and completed our family on September 6, 2016. I currently teach 5th grade at Bethany. I enjoy spending time with my extended family, reading, and playing/singing with the Midway Praise Team. I love my community and my church family. I am blessed beyond measure!
